Thanks Chris and Ralph! Interesting, regardless of and because of the differences in perspective.

An interesting perspective given by a person who appears very passionate but demonstrates that are many differences of opinion out in the world, some more fear based than others unfortunately. If I may say something, and by no means am I an expert on this very broad subject…no matter how good and faithful we are to your God or gods or universal force (what ever your beliefs are based) and how many prayers you say each day in thanks (though I feel it is a great way to focus ‘the good’ intent), I feel that anyone can be targeted by ‘the bad’ for want of a more descriptive word, at anytime. ‘the bad’ to me is much like an opportunist in my thinking. Like you say there is a lot of good in the world and we have a universal intelligence that sees the good in us and offers protection in various ways. But we can’t rely on our god alone …we have to demonstrate by our actions and thoughts and concentrate ‘the good’ at every opportunity that we have. I was brought up Catholic and have used my learnings as a base for a universal intelligence based set of beliefs. Many thanks for the space to rant :-)
